Um... well... not really. Same amount of time as before, but nothing really grabs me at the moment, so I've been watching a lot of films and catching up on TV series I missed.
However, I have been playing Alien Swarm (free on Steam) quite a lot lately. It reminds me of the classic sort of 2-player shoot 'em up games I played on the Amiga, back in the day, but it is 4-player co-op. Golden rule is protect the Tech!
Glad you are still enjoying WoW. Bit too much of a slog for me.
Will you give SW:ToR a go? I'll probably try it, but it looks a bit too toony for my liking. WoW-heads will probably love it.
After becoming very bored recently, I decided to order Mass Effect 2. Robbie recommended it, and I think Brave has been playing it too. I played the demo on Steam, and it felt quite good, for an FPS/RPG combo.
I wonder what everyone else is doing lately. The forums and TeamSpeak have become somewhat deserted without a common game to unite us. I am beginning to wonder if one will ever come along again...

Glad to hear we are all(well some) still in the land of the gamer, all be it Fisk has become a level 80 WOW nut (lol).
Dusty iv been playing that Ailen Swarm game a bit too, must have missed you online.
Anyway iv had a busy few months, now in a new place (with GF and kiddy). I might have lost some freedom and my regular weekend long sleeps till 12 but i have gained a rather sweet little gaming room complete with 32" LCD, PS3, PC, HI-FI & sofa (see pic).
Most of my gaming has been on the PS3 lately, quality PC games have become a little thin on the ground these days.
I think i will be giving the Star Wars MMO a go once its launched and iv registered to do some beta testing.
AnyWhooooo
Im outta here, catch you guys soon.
ps i will try to keep the TS account up and running.

...but drinking "Coke" instead of high-grade lager...? What's happened, mate? ;)
I too registed for the SW:TOR beta, once I managed to get out of the Moebius loop, where it asked for your system specs over and over...
I haven't heard anything yet though. Just seen some in-game footage - fairly low level combat/abilities.
I've been getting the nipper into Star Wars. I started him on Episode 4 - none of that CGI rubbish, although we'll get to them eventually. He loved it when Ben Kenobi hacked off somebody's arm in a bar. I had to rewind it about 6 times, so he could see it again and again. I guess that should probably worry me really. He got bored half way through Empire Strikes back though.
He's still addicted to 'Race Driver: Grid' on my PC, and now 'Diamond Twister' on my phone. Like father, like son, I suppose.
Definitely up for some more Alien Swarm.
Laterz, y'all...

An other thing, what is up with the Toffifee. That is like German candy, right?
Talking to you guy does want to me to play BF2 just for kicks.
BTW ran into Ironhorse this morning. He was on his way to the airport for a holiday to .... the Philippines, to meet a .... girl. At the same time he is telling me he is not playing online anymore. I guess he misunderstood the question. :)

Yeah, I sometimes feel tempted to load up BF2142 for 'an larf' / for old times sake.
So, Iron is into hot little Phillipino chicks, eh? He'd better be careful, or he could end up in here...

He'll have no trouble pulling in there. I'm sure they'll give him a 'thrill' or two! Maybe the blokebird in the jeans...?

You are right, Fiskers. As with many MP games, you often get complete peni$es playing with you. It also goes for this game. Some nights when I was playing it, all 4 of us knew our stuff, knew what to do and when, and made mincemeat out of the Aliens. Other nights, I would be logging into and quitting numerous games before I found a team of players who were any good, and could work well together.
As always, Medics need to stay near the others, in case they get infested. Healing is the only cure. If the Medic has pi$sed off on his own somewhere, to hold his cock or something, then it all falls apart quite rapidly. Same if you lose your Tech. No hacker = no doors open = game over. Sometimes it pays to have more than one Tech, especially if you have no Medic.
Also the Noob Tech is one to watch for. One who doesn't know he has to hack doors, reactors, etc. and just stands there, whilst the rest of you use up all your ammo, then die.
Then we have the Kick Peni$. A knob like 'BugBlatter Gold' for example, who tries to kick anybody who he thinks doesn't measure up because they die too easily for their level. Never mind that he has changed the difficulty level to Hard or Insane since you browsed for games, so that it is now physically impossible to survive for more than 1½ minutes. The prick. I only recommend playing this game on Normal, by the way.
I am up for a game. When?
I have been playing Dungeon Keeper 1 via the DOSbox emulator lately (single player). Classic stuff!
Mass Effect 2 arrived the other day. Forgotten I'd ordered it. Not played it yet, apart from the demo on Steam, which I quite liked, hence the purchase.
'Alien Breed: Impact' is also worth a look if you like Alien Swarm. Much better visually, but only 2-player co-op, and gameplay is not as fast / mental as Alien Swarm - possibly inferior, even...?

OMG yes. But that's so 2007 (or somethin'). Now it's hot to have a girl (Robster, Iron and all the rest).   Some can even afford a gaming room or game evenings.. holy moly. Respect for you guys. You have it in contract or so, signed in double by the mrs? Ah now I see where this topic is about, you guys should get a medal for this.
Honestly I played a game this 2 week holiday. Ground Control II: Operation Exodus: Click Very fun game now and then. I lost contact with the gaming scene, the newest games probably don't even run on my PC?

Yes, I had a very good gaming sesh with Mr. Fisk last night, torching aliens, hacking doors, etc. Difficult with just the two of us though, on certain maps.
I can't wait for the next Gaming Night.
I dunno, Eagle. Your PC is a similar spec to mine, and I'm not encountering many resource problems yet, if any. Mass Effect 2 runs very well. That is quite a recent game.
But, you do need to sort that gaming Contract out with the trouble-and-strife... ;)

You need Alien Swarm. It's free on Steam, and it won't tax your ageing PC. It is a 4-player top-down shoot-em-up, and is almost as addictive as WoWskag.
Go on. Try it. What have you got to lose?

How the hell are ya, mate? :D
BBC2 - I like it. For a moment there, I thought you meant you were watching BBC2 , and kept getting bored to death. Yeah, BBC2... where they just shouldn't have bothered with the BlackHawk... at all. I don't play it any more. It just didn't grab me like BF2 and 2142 did. Nice gfx, like CoD:MW2, but I was not enjoying the gameplay nearly as much.
Alien Swarm is a simple and >>>FREE<<< game, but can be quite challenging, especially on Hard, Insane or Brutal, and with Onslaught mode engaged. It tests your ability as a team player. No room for lone gunmen in this game. Look after eachother or die... end of.
Half an hour would probably get you 5 or 6 levels done, possibly even the whole Jacob's Rest campaign - but you would have to really sprint it!
Anyway, later dudes... time to get me a couple more Achievements! B)
