I looked at some YouTube footage of this, and bored as I also am, I don't think this game is gonna be for me. As one person said, it is like "a cross between WoW and Freelancer," but IMHO probably not as good as either one was in their own right. It looks a little bit cheap and cheesey in parts, especially the combat (in space and hand-to-hand), and does not look nearly as polished a game as Star Wars: The Old Republic.

I have also looked at some SW:TOR footage tonight, and the fully voiced characters & NPC's, multiplayer interactive dialogue options, and lightsabre combat looks far better - much more engaging, and immersive. I don't think many people will play the non-sabre-wielding classes though, e.g. Smuggler. Everybody is going to want lightsabre(s), and force powers. Smuggler looked very boring indeed, by comparison. Although Han Solo was cool in the films, in the MMO that is the character class everybody will take the piss out of, until they suddenly discover the party needs some unique ability of theirs to get past a door or something...

I briefly went back to playing Section 8 recently, but the buggy stats system / rank glitches got on my wick, so I gave up again. I have hardly played CoD: MW2 MP either, since I completed the SP campaign. It just felt too similar to MW1, which I was very bored of.

So, I'm not gaming much at all at the moment. Just watching films, mainly...

I haven't played Shattered Horizon either, as it chugs on my system. I've not yet ordered BF:BC2, but I will...

Guess im just looking at it through my "its free so wtf" glasses. Iv been playing MW2 but only during the week, weekends are kept busy with the girlfriend and her 2.5 year old. But now im getting fed up of being called a hacker/cheater unless i play with some crap kit. Iv now almost got to level 70 again after taking the first level prestige.

I even got bored enough to play some BF2 the other night ,great game but looking tierd and old now (like visiting a grandparent lol).

Anyway im looking forward to BC2 and hope we can have some of the old fun back with that one.

Also Dusty i see AvP2 is coming out soon too, its getting a beta and some great reviews.

**** EDIT i had ordered BC2 from Game in the UK but i have just looked at play.com and they are now listing the game along with access to the beta which is coming near the end of this month, order from game cancelled and re-ordered from Play.com. Beta here i come!!!!! ********

I think it is AvP3, isn't it? AvP2 came out in 2001 - classic game! I remember it well. I especially liked the Predator missions. I don't think I got the Primal Hunt add-on pack though.

I looked at some footage of AvP3 on YouTube. The guy doing the demo seemed a bit of a knob (stating the obvious, etc.), but the Predator mission he was doing looked very nice! The Predator has so many weps and tech, it makes it look a little too easy though.
